I welcome today’s announcement of new investment from Údarás na Gaeltachta.

This support is vital for protecting jobs, backing local enterprise and ensuring our Gaeltacht communities — especially across Conamara and the islands — remain places where people can live and work through Irish.

If we’re serious about the future of the Irish language, we must be serious about jobs, housing and opportunity in the Gaeltacht.

Now the focus has to be on delivery.
