What I Stand For
Put Housing for Local People First
Housing policy must serve the people who live and work in Galway.
I will push for:
Practical action on affordability
Bringing vacant and derelict homes back into use
Community-led development that protects towns and villages
Homes should be for families, not speculation.
Deliver Fair Access to Healthcare
Access to healthcare should not depend on how far you live from Dublin.
I will work to:
Reduce pressure on University Hospital Galway
Support local and regional healthcare services
Improve emergency and urgent-care access across the west
People deserve care without long commutes or long waits.
Get Galway Moving
Traffic congestion and poor transport affect daily life across the constituency.
I will advocate for:
Reliable public transport
Safer roads
Realistic solutions for commuters and rural areas
Transport must work for how people actually live.
Support Safe Communities and Civic Pride
Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own area.
That means:
Visible policing
Support for youth facilities and community services
Working with local groups to prevent anti-social behaviour
Strong communities are built through engagement, not neglect.
Stand Up for Rural and Gaeltacht Galway
Rural and Irish-speaking communities are central to Galway’s identity and future.
I will:
Defend rural services and infrastructure
Support farming, fishing and local enterprise
Champion the Irish language and Gaeltacht development
Policy must be shaped with these communities, not imposed on them.
